Radio Free Asia (RFA) announces the release of its 39th QSL card. This is the fourth QSL card commemorating 2011 as RFA’s 15th anniversary. The Dalai Lama the subject of the card,The Dalai Lama was also the subject of RFA’s very first QSL card. RFA’s first broadcast was in Mandarin Chinese on September 29, 1996 at 2100 UTC. RFA to confirm all valid reception reports for September 2011.

Sad news for all DW –Radio Listeners. Deutsche Welle to discontinue the Shortwave Service in our region. Starting October 30,2011, there will be no linear DW Radio Programming in German and DW-Radio/English will only be available over shortwave in the future in Africa.
This will be a sad day for me as their Official Monitor for many years. I have been monitoring the shortwave signal in our region.
But this shouldn’t be a good bye. Looking forward to many years of contact.

Sad news for all DW –Radio Listeners. Deutsche Welle to discontinue the Shortwave Service in our region. Starting October 30,2011, there will be no linear DW Radio Programming in German and DW-Radio/English will only be available over shortwave in the future in Africa.
This will be a sad day for me as their Official Monitor for many years. I have been monitoring the shortwave signal in our region.
But this shouldn’t be a good bye. Looking forward to many years of contact.
